This weeks Xbox 360 releases

In a twisty ‘n’ turny new feature, I’ve decide to list the releases of the games from the major consoles. Starting with Xbox 360:-

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Smackdown Vs Raw 2008
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
Beowolf

Now, out of that list COD4 is a must get, as is Lego (Unless you have both the collected games across other platforms).

For me Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 has taken a step back in the all important gameplay area.

Dynasty Warrior: Gundam is your typical Japanese Giant Mecha Porn… Get it only if this floats your boat, because the game is neither an advancement of the genre, or even a good example of it.

Beowolf has generally passed me by, but with movie tie-ins a good game is generally the exception to the rule, so I’m not expecting much.

5 Free HD DVD’s

They’ve arrived…

Under undue speculation that the HD DVD’s wouldn’t arrive (Yes, you Mark!), I got home on Saturday to discover that they had…

Prestige was an absolute corker, who knew that getting hit with AC current could have that effect…

Anyway check it out…

My Call To Duty

I’m eagerly awaiting COD4:MW ever since taking part in the public hype generator… Sorry, beta… Using the series foundation that was laid in the first editions of the series, and brought it from the World War era into the modern day, bringing with it all the weaponary from this era.

A novel new feature are the perks available which can do anything from adding extra ammo, to allowing you to reload faster.

There is the feature to call in more support given the levels of your killing streak. 3 - Radar support, 5 - Airstrike, and 7 - Chopper (Complete with missiles and machine gun)…

The game is available on 9th November for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Buy Here

Football… 90’s Style.

Back in the earlier 90’s if you wanted to play football on the computer you went one of two ways…

Sensible Soccer or Kick Off…

Coming this month to Xbox Live Arcade is the better choice, Sensible World Of Soccer.

As with the rest of the XBLA games, it’ll get a free trial, and I urge you to download this as soon as it hits.

Nuff Said…

Halo Destroyer?

Last night a strange thing happened… While meeting some friends for a bit of Legendary Co-Op on Halo 3, things stuttered to a stop.

I thought the internet was playing up to told everyone to reset their routers, refresh and try again.

Both myself and one friend (Dave) connected back okay, but unfortunately Mark was left sitting on the Dashboard screen while Halo3 proceded to reload… 1 minute… 2 minutes… 5 minutes… 10 minutes… No sorry, Disc unreadable…

This was at 9 at night and the local Blockbuster (Great trade in deals) was closed, so no returns. After a bit of net searching this was revealed to be a wide spread problem. It seems some copies of the game have problems running on Xboxs. This doesn’t solve Mark’s problem.

Hopefully he can get it replace and finally “FINISH THE FIGHT!”
