Last night a strange thing happened… While meeting some friends for a bit of Legendary Co-Op on Halo 3, things stuttered to a stop.

 I thought the internet was playing up to told everyone to reset their routers, refresh and try again.

Both myself and one friend (Dave) connected back okay, but unfortunately Mark was left sitting on the Dashboard screen while Halo3 proceded to reload… 1 minute… 2 minutes… 5 minutes… 10 minutes… No sorry, Disc unreadable…

This was at 9 at night and the local Blockbuster (Great trade in deals) was closed, so no returns. After a bit of net searching this was revealed to be a wide spread problem. It seems some copies of the game have problems running on Xboxs. This doesn’t solve Mark’s problem.

 Hopefully he can get it replace and finally “FINISH THE FIGHT!”

Came across a right bargain yesterday… My friend was at the new GameStation store in Hull when I got a phone call. “Do I want a HD DVD add on for £50?”… You bet your arse I do, especially now Microsoft are doing this great deal (5 Free HD DVD’s)!!!

Ok so the selection isn’t that great, but the way I see it is I’ve made money. After a little research each of the advertised DVD’s sold in the region of £15-£20. This means for 5 discs I’ve got £75 on the lowest price… I whopping return of £25! Not to be sniffed at.

I also bought 300… THIS IS SPARTA… Now it may not be the best film to demonstrate the high res video due to the techniques used post production (Making the film actually look like a moving comic, but not animated. It actually spent two months in post production) but the picturs, sound and extra’s are fantastic. It’s a real step up from DVD. I’ve just got through 3 of the special featurettes and that took 30 minutes. There’s about another 14 to go…

I highly recommend anyone with a 360 to check the add on out. Especially if you can get it at such a reduced price.

I recently broke down and bought Halo 3…

This was not planned, there are many, many good games coming out within the next couple of months that my wallet is already starting to become a little stretched. I’d played the beta (With added Crackdown!) and decided not to bother, the guys who play online tend to be ultra hardcore.

But I was at my friends having our monthly FIFA tournament, and of course he had it. We had a few cracks on multiplayer, and I was hooked.

We have all been playing on the Multiplayer Co-op mode, unlocking our Achievements as we go. Also we’ve been collecting the various skulls around the game.

These skulls unlock bonus elements from the fun (Catch: NPC has two grenades, and know how to use them) to the insane (Thunderstorm: Stronger enemies).
